The 35th medical delegation of PalMed Europe has concluded its four-week mission in the Gaza Strip after working across several hospitals.

The delegation consisted of three specialist doctors:

• General Surgeon

• Paediatric Surgeon

• Gynaecological & Oncology Surgeon

They worked across three hospitals in Gaza:

• Al-Helo Hospital

• Friends of the Patient Hospital

• Al-Shifa Hospital

The mission took place between 24/02/2026 and 24/03/2026.

During their stay, the team assessed approximately 830 patients, including:

• 121 children under the age of five

• 54 critically ill patients

• 140 war-related injury cases

They also performed:

• 107 emergency surgeries

• 97 major surgical procedures

• 56 minor surgical procedures

This work significantly reduced waiting times and eased the suffering of hundreds of patients in urgent need of surgical care.
