The surgeries were performed by Dr. Kifah Alwan, cardiac surgeon from the PalMed medical mission, in collaboration with the national cardiac surgery team in Gaza led by Dr. Saher Abu Ghali, and a specialized medical team from Al-Quds Hospital, with the presence of local and international medical delegations. This achievement reflects strong cooperation between national and international medical expertise under extremely challenging conditions.
Dr. Ahmad Abu Nadi, Head of PalMed Gaza Office, expressed pride in restoring open-heart surgery services, emphasizing that this achievement brings real hope to heart patients who are unable to travel abroad for treatment due to limited medical referrals and movement restrictions. He also thanked the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the Palestinian Red Crescent – Al-Quds Hospital, and all medical teams involved in making this mission successful.
