The 32nd specialized medical mission of the Palestinian Medical Association in Europe (PalMed) has arrived in Gaza as part of ongoing efforts to support the healthcare sector and provide urgent medical care.
The mission included four specialists:
General Surgery
Obstetrics and Gynecology
Intensive Care Specialist
One member of the team was denied entry, while three doctors successfully reached Gaza and started working in hospitals.
PalMed Europe organizes its medical missions in coordination with the World Health Organization to ensure effective delivery of medical support to patients in Gaza.

The doctors share their experience working in Gaza and highlight the major challenges faced by healthcare workers due to shortages of medical supplies, limited resources, and the extensive destruction of hospitals and healthcare facilities.

With gratitude to Allah, members of PalMed’s 31st Specialized Medical Mission successfully arrived in North Gaza on Friday, 5 December 2025, as part of ongoing efforts to support the healthcare sector and provide urgent medical care to patients and the injured.
The mission consisted of four specialist doctors:
Neurosurgeon
Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist
Ophthalmology and Retina Surgeon
General Surgeon
Two members of the medical team were able to enter Gaza, while two colleagues were denied entry by the occupation authorities.

With gratitude to Allah, the 30th specialised medical delegation of the PalMed Europe arrived at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza on Thursday, 20 November 2025.
The team consists of four physicians representing key medical specialties:
Maxillofacial Surgery
Anaesthesia and Intensive Care
Paediatrics
This mission is coordinated in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO). Upon arrival, the delegation immediately commenced its medical duties, supporting local healthcare workers and providing essential care to the people of Gaza.

The PalMed Europe 28th and 29th specialised medical delegations returend from the Gaza Strip, following 4 weeks of dedicated service across multiple hospitals.
28th Specialised Delegation
The 28th mission arrived in Gaza on 21 October 2025 and consisted of three surgeons:
Plastic and Burns Surgery
Ophthalmology
Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery
A fourth member of the delegation — a cardiac surgeon — was prevented by the occupation from entering Gaza.
The team worked across hospitals in both the northern and southern regions. A multidisciplinary surgical team, including Gaza’s general surgeons and Dr. Othman Zeroual from Morocco (PalMed), successfully performed a total thyroidectomy on a patient with a significantly enlarged gland present for over 10 years. This procedure was the first of its kind since the beginning of the war and was highly commended by local medical staff.
In addition, Dr. Nawras Diab, a member of the PalMed surgical team, performed a complex emergency procedure to treat a cardiac tamponade resulting from a shrapnel injury to the right ventricle. The heart was freed, and the ventricular wound was successfully repaired.
29th Specialised Delegation
The 29th delegation reached Gaza on 28 and 30 October 2025, composed of:
Vascular Surgery
Anaesthesia and Intensive Care
Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology
Two members were denied entry, and only the internal medicine and gastroenterology specialist was permitted to enter Gaza. She remained at Nasser Medical Complex until 20 November 2025, offering vital medical support.
PalMed Europe continues to pursue its mission of sending specialised medical teams to strengthen Gaza’s healthcare system and alleviate the suffering of its people.

The delegation provided vital surgical and emergency care in hospitals across southern Gaza, with two members later managing to reach hospitals in the north. In addition to clinical work, the team delivered a specialised medical lecture to local physicians at the Nasser Medical Complex.

PalMed Europe has successfully completed its 26th medical mission to Gaza, where our team of specialists spent nearly two weeks delivering urgent humanitarian care.
Two senior consultants allowed to enter Gaza and to support Gaza’s struggling health sector:
A UK-based Consultant in Retinal Surgery & Ophthalmology
A Germany-based Consultant in Anaesthesia & Critical Care
Our doctors worked side by side with Gaza’s exhausted health workers at Baptist Hospital in Gaza City, Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, Gaza Eye Hospital, and Al-Amal Hospital. Together, we performed dozens of complex retinal surgeries and provided hundreds of consultations to patients in desperate need of care.
Since the beginning of the war, we have organised and led 26 medical missions to Gaza, in partnership with Rahma and the World Health Organization. Each mission strengthens the health system and eases the suffering of our people.
We are determined to continue sending more missions, expanding our support, and standing firmly with Gaza’s doctors and patients.
The Palestinian Doctors Association in Europe (PalMed Europe) announces the safe return of its 25th medical delegation from the Gaza Strip, following a two-week humanitarian mission providing emergency medical care amid ongoing conflict.
The mission included seven doctors, though four were denied entry into Gaza due to access restrictions. Three physicians successfully reached Gaza, representing the fields of:

These doctors worked in Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, where they performed dozens of complex surgical procedures and delivered essential care to hundreds of patients, many of them critically injured.

With praise and gratitude to God, three doctors from the Palestinian Doctors Association – Europe (PalMed Europe) have arrived today in Gaza, in partnership with Rahma International and in coordination with the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
This marks PalMed’s 20th medical delegation to Gaza since the beginning of the ongoing Genocide, continuing our mission to support the healthcare system and provide urgent medical relief.
This 20th specialist delegation originally consisted of seven doctors; unfortunately, four were denied entry. However, three senior consultants successfully arrived, specializing in:
ENT Surgery (Ear, Nose, and Throat)
Orthopedic Surgery
Internal Medicine and Cardiology
The delegation will perform advanced surgical procedures for patients and wounded individuals in Gaza, aiming to ease their suffering and support local medical teams who have been working under extreme conditions.
With God’s will, PalMed will continue to send specialist delegations, along with essential medications and supplies—fulfilling our medical and humanitarian duty and standing in solidarity with the dedicated healthcare workers of Gaza.
